Climate Week Tweetathon

Thanks to Sustainability@BU's Outreach Coordinator, Lisa Tornatore, the Community Service Center's One Time Events Project Manager, Katriona Fahy, and Branch Out's Fall Into Service Volunteers, the Fall Into Service was a largely meaningful one. Volunteers, like Megan here, conducted a tweetathon and plastic bagathon in several of the residence hallways so that students could live tweet questions to BU's 5 student representatives in New York City attending a climate change conference relating to the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference. Branch Out successfully collected 1,500 recycled palstic bags, representing the amount that an average American consumes/wastes each year. These bags will be used to construct recycled sculptures for Earth Day in the Spring.
