Habitat Education and Wildlife Sanctuary

With thanks to our Community Partner, the Massachusetts Audubon Society, and the Habitat Education Center and Wildlife Sanctuary, Branch Out was able to begin the first of two of its semester-long weekly volunteer events. Volunteers travelled to the sanctuary in Belmont, Mass on Feb. 10 to volunteer with Pulling Partners, an after-school program for “kids 8 to 80” focused on nature conservation, invasive species removal, and animal caretaking. Volunteers were invited to socialize with the goats and clean their enclosure and shoveled the trails leading to and from the enclosure. For more information about the Sanctuary, check out their website, and don’t forget to check the calendar for all of Branch Out’s upcoming events.
