Vegan Alternative Starter Kit


I love baking, especially with King Arthur mixes! But it took me a long time to figure out what sorts of vegan baking alternatives I could use for these recipes. For those of you who do not know, a "vegan" diet requires no foodstuff from that of an animal, so this excludes eggs, milk, butter, etc. Which are all very common in recipes, of course. So here are some tasty ways I found work just as well in any recipe!

Instead of adding an egg, use 3 tablespoons water and 1 tablespoon ground flax meal!

Instead of using milk, use almond milk!

Instead of using butter, use sesame oil!
