Vegan Extra Dark Chocolate Fantasy Brownies

Frosting:

-1/2 medium avocado

-1 over-ripe banana (almost black)

-1/4 cup raw cacao powder

-Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cake:

-1 cup almond meal

-1/2 tsp baking powder (or baking -soda)

-1/2 cup raw cacao powder

-3 Medjool dates (or 6-7 deglet dates)

-1 large, very ripe banana

1) Blend avocado and banana FIRST in a small bullet blender, then add in cacao powder and blend again until smooth.

2) Freeze or refrigerate for about 2 hours to firm.

3) While frosting is setting, mix first 3 cake ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.

4) In a food processor or bullet blender, blend dates and banana until smooth. Add puree to bowl of dry ingredients, and mix with spoon until it becomes a dough. (You can even add chocolate chips here- 1-2 handfuls! I didn’t, but I reckon it would be really good!)

5) Transfer batter into a small, non-stick baking pan that has been rubbed with some kind of oil or butter (I used ghee).

6) Bake for 20 mins at 350 degrees. Remove and let cool.

7) Frost brownies and decorate with chocolate chips! 😎 Bon Appetit!
