Volunteer Spotlight: Lindsey Vorhees
(**PR Note: Every week, different volunteers will have short “volunteer appreciation” pieces written about them, focusing on their work within the Community Service Center)
Lindsey Vorhees is a junior majoring in Environmental Analysis and Policy, and has been a member of Branch Out since the beginning of the fall semester, 2015. We interviewed her after our leaf pickup service Nov. 7.
What has been your favorite service with Branch Out?:
“I really liked the Urban Garden [rooftop gardening with Higher Ground], that was really cool.”
What interests you about the environment?
“For me, it’s like the most important thing that needs to be addressed because it affects everyone in the world, and any way that you can do something, for someone, affects everyone.”
How are you environmentally sustainable?
“I’m dedicating my life to that, and it’s the little things I do: reusable bags, reusable water bottles, buying local produce, hand-washing clothes.”
